The building that Miss Clara Hotel in Stockholm occupies used to be a school for girls. What remains of this history are some black and white pictures on the walls – depicting the former life of the building, old signage, and the name, Miss Clara, which is that of a former headmistress that reigned here.
Everything else inside has been refurbished into a beautiful hotel with paired down Scandinavian interiors and hardwood floors. The rooms are spacious and light, and the hotel’s location is a wonderful starting point for exploring the city. Gamla Stan – the old town – and Stockholm’s main shopping streets are just a short walk away. This is affordable luxury at its best.
