London calling! How do you condense a giant city like the British capital into just 12hrs? We gave it our best shot, and after 12hrs in East London, we are very proud to present to you our latest guide, 12hrs in London.
This one takes you from the Tate Modern on the south bank of the Thames to old markets, new shops, and colorful neighborhoods. On the way, we’ll look at a lot of art, take the iconic tube a couple of times and end up in an Opium parlor in the middle of China Town. So pack your bags and get ready. Here is the schedule of our 12hrs in London for you:
9am CitizenM – A design hotel that is super friendly and actually affordable.
10am Tate Modern – The world’s most visited gallery for modern art.
11.30am Borough Market – One of London’s oldest, most beautiful food markets.
12pm Elliot’s – This restaurant, a 12hrs favorite, serves food fresh from the market next door.
1pm London Bridge – We walk over the Thames with a fantastic view of the City and the Tower Bridge.
1.20pm The Tube – Let’s take the world’s oldest underground train system for a ride.
1.45pm Dover Street Market – A Japanese fashion concept store in the middle of London.
2pm Rose Bakery – We have a brownie brake at this famous cafe on the 4th floor of Dover Street Market.
2.40pm Hyde Park – A walk in the park.
3pm Serpentine Gallery – This modern art gallery and its famous pavilion are a must-see.
4pm Liberty London – A beautiful department store that sells the most beautiful things.
4.30pm Lazy Oaf – Colorful clothes with a certain London vibe.
4.45pm Supreme – A skate shop that’s almost too cool for school.
5pm Opening Ceremony – The British version of the famous American store.
5.40pm Margaret Howell – Truly British designs and amazing wardrobe staples.
6pm Monocle Cafe – The magazine’s take on coffee culture. Worth a visit!
6.30pm La Fromagerie & The Ginger Pig – A cheese shop and a butcher, side by side.
7pm Notting Hill – We take a stroll though this pretty part of town.
7.50pm Electric Diner – Time for dinner in this classic diner.
9pm Opium – A hidden door in Chinatown leads to this very special cocktail bar.
